Insert Fuel Game Studio

The Garage

We gamify your whole business so it makes more money and people stop dreading it.

You are standing in the proof. Insert Fuel is a game: a board, a car you design, a buddy for life, tickets that run as laps. We did not read about this and write a deck. We did it to our own company first, and you can open it and look.

What we actually do

Not badges. Badges are what people mean by gamification when they have never shipped one, and they wear off in a fortnight.

We find the loop

Every business already has a game in it. Somebody is keeping score of something, and it is usually the wrong thing measured badly. We find the loop that already exists, then make it visible, fair and worth playing.

We build your .game

A real product at your own address, like insertfuel.game. Not a leaderboard bolted onto your dashboard. A board, levels, rewards that cost you something real, and a reason to come back tomorrow.

We make the boring parts fun

Forms, onboarding, training, timesheets. The things everybody avoids are the things a game is best at fixing, because the only reason people avoid them is that nothing happens when they do them.

We put competition in it

Between your team, between your customers, or against last month. Handled badly this is poison, so we design what happens to the people who lose before we design what happens to the winners.

We make the ads funny

A serious ad for a fun product is a lie about the product. We write and make the campaigns that sound like the thing you now have.

We tie it to revenue

Points nobody can spend are a rounding error. Every mechanic we build is connected to something that shows up on a P&L: retention, referral, upsell, or work that stops needing chasing.

How we work

LET GO BOSS. Never be attached.

It is our philosophy for running a business and it is how we build for you. We are not interested in becoming a dependency you cannot remove. We build the thing so it runs without us, hand you the keys, and are pleased when you do not call.

That is a strange thing for a studio to say about work it wants to sell you, and it is the most useful thing on this page. A studio that tells you up front it will not hold your game hostage is telling you what the contract is really about.

Who this works for

Businesses with a retention problem

People do the thing once and never come back. That is a loop problem, not a marketing problem.

Teams that avoid their own systems

The CRM nobody updates, the timesheets that arrive on the last day of the month. Nothing happens when they do it, so they do not.

Anybody with a community

A community with no game in it is a group chat that goes quiet. A community with one has a reason to be there on a Tuesday.

Training and onboarding

The completion rate on required training is a joke everywhere. It does not have to be.

What would your business look like as a game?

That is the whole first conversation. Bring the thing people avoid doing, and we will tell you whether there is a game in it. If there is not, we will say so.
