How to Attract the Right Audience with Marketing Automation
If you’ve been building funnels, posting content, and setting up automations but still feel like the right people aren’t showing up… you’re not alone.
One of our Let Go Boss community members, Vianie Trimidal from the Philippines, said his number one challenge with marketing automation was attracting the right audience. That’s something I hear all the time — because even the most sophisticated funnel can’t work without the right people going through it.
Here’s how to fix that.
Step 1: Identify Your Niche
There are thousands of people offering marketing, funnels, and automation. The easiest way to stand out is to specialize.
Your niche might be based on an industry (like real estate, fitness, or education).
It might be tied to your values or community (faith-based businesses, local entrepreneurs, eco-conscious brands).
Or it could be a unique skill set you have (high-ticket funnel builds, webinar launches, etc.).
The more specific you get, the easier it is for your ideal clients to find you — and for you to speak directly to them.
Step 2: Create Your Brand Voice Around That Niche
Once you’ve chosen your niche, everything you post should feel like it was made for those people.
If you’re casual and friendly, lean into it — you’ll attract people who like working with someone approachable.
If you’re targeting high-end investors, adjust your tone and visuals to match what they expect.
Share stories, case studies, and examples that make your audience think, “This is exactly what I need.”
Step 3: Understand Who You’re Talking To
The better you know your audience, the easier it is to create content and offers they can’t ignore. Write down:
Demographics: age range, location, income level, profession.
Where They Spend Time: LinkedIn, Facebook groups, events, or niche communities.
Step 4: Build a Lead Magnet They Can’t Ignore
A lead magnet is your first handshake with a potential client. Make it valuable enough that they’d pay for it, but give it for free in exchange for their contact info.
Examples:
Checklist: “10 Things to Do Before Selling Your Home”
Guide: “5 Biggest Mistakes New Property Investors Make”
Video Walkthrough: showing how to improve their funnel or marketing instantly.
Your lead magnet should solve a small, specific problem that moves them closer to the bigger solution you offer.
Step 5: Show Up Consistently
Attracting the right audience is about repetition and visibility. Keep showing up where your audience spends time, posting content that speaks to their challenges, and reminding them you can help. Over time, your message will stick and your ideal clients will start seeking you out.
The Bottom Line
You don’t need to attract everyone — just the right ones. Get clear on who they are, speak their language, give them value before they ask, and keep showing up. With the right niche, voice, and lead magnet, your marketing automation will do the rest.
