Nada Mousilli
Nada Mousilli has been a teacher for half a century. She has taught Arabic and faith to generations of students, privately and with great patience, one family at a time.

From Damascus
The Mousilli family comes from Damascus, Syria, one of the oldest cities in the world. From there the family made its way to the United States, carrying the values of home with it: education first, honest work, generosity to neighbours and strangers, and faith.
The brothers still give back to Syria. In 2025 Feras returned to Damascus to speak at SYNC, and he advises and supports the founders building Syria's new startup community.
Education
An engineer turned professor, a builder of systems and a teacher of fifty years. Learning runs in the family.
Hard work
From Dell and Apple to oilfields in Brunei, the brothers learned by doing the work.
Generosity
Pro bono work, free classes and support for founders back home.

Both found their way to Medellín, Feras as a Fulbright professor and Basim as a builder of homes and community.
