Young Builders Parental Consent

An addendum to our Terms of Service, for parents and guardians.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 16 October 2026

0. In plain words

  • You, the parent or guardian, apply and agree. Your child never signs up alone.
  • Your child’s account sits under yours, and you can see everything.
  • Adults never chat with your child.
  • You can change your choices, or withdraw consent and delete everything, at any time.

1. Who may consent

Only a parent or legal guardian of a child under 18. For children under 13 we go ahead only after we verify that consent with you.

2. What we collect about your child

As little as we can: a first name, an age range, a country, a language and what they love to make, plus the work they create. No public profile, photo or last name without your consent. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

3. What you choose

  • Build in Buildrversity (always on).
  • Share finished work with the Young Builders community, first name only.
  • Join live classes hosted by approved adults. Parents may join any class.

4. Safety

Young builders cannot message adults, and adults only see that a young builder is online. Parents and approved staff moderate. A Builder Pass invite from a member goes to you, never to your child, and the member cannot chat with your child.

5. Withdrawing consent

Tell us through the Help Desk or by email and we close your child’s account and delete their work.

6. Changelog

  • 16 October 2026 (1.0): first version.

Under legal review by Feras Mousilli. This explains our approach in plain words and is not a legal certification. How Young Builders works.
